I was wondering if anyone could tell me what work they think Forest is in at the moment?

Monday - Hack, usually for about 3 hours at least, mainly trot and canter
Tuesday - Jumping, usually for 45 mins, me or someone else having a lesson on him
Wednesday - Hack again, usually for 3 hours at least, mainly trot and canter
Thursday - Schooling or jumping, usually only for 30 mins or so
Friday - Hack, 3 hours at least, mainly trot and canter
Saturday - Hack 3-4 hours, walk, trot and lots of bursts of canter
Sunday - Hack 3-4 hours, walk trot and lots of bursts of canter.

The days are sometimes mixed up depending on weather, time etc.

Forest rarely has much sweat on him when he gets back. I usually just hose down where his saddle has been and thats it. Hes never come back to the yard out of breath and puffing.
He would be doing more jumping but as we have more time during the day we are hacking out in all weather just to be out! :p

What workload do people think he is in?
And do you think he sounds fit enough to do this type of work?

Sounds like fairly hard work! If he's not sweating/blowing when you stop, then he's surely OK? What are you feeding him?

Hes on a scoop of cherry chaff, scoop of calm and condition and 2 handfuls of barley rings, seaweed, garlic and vits and mins.
And of course as much grass as he can eat.

Hes an ex racer BTW, and 12 years old! (Forgot to mention in my previous post!)

I thought he was ok aswell...

Does anyone else know?
