white socks, yellow stains, Help

I shampooed my horse today ready for a show on sunday.he has four white socks to knees.They came up brilliant white but the mud over the winter has stained feather that covers the top of the hooves.Can anyone help with ideas on how to get rid of the awful yellow?

A good shampoo specifically for greys, then when still wet, rub a chalk block on them and bandage overnight

result = sparkling white socks for the mornings show :p
I know, cause this is what ive done for years !!
 
And long term, pig oil and sulphur-ask Coyote! sparkling socks!

Ditto that. makes them easy to keep clean.

My problem though is that Joy tricks me into thinking she has white socks. Actually she doesn't, not because they won't get clean but because they are actually a llight fawn colour :rolleyes:
 
For a quick fix I would get a tub of chalk dust and overload with it.. Works a treat :)
