What to feed an overweight pregnant cob mare?

I'm sort of responsible for her she is about 6 months gone and is out 24/7 with no other feed. She is still overweight though and is easily prone to weight gain. My Arab filly is currently on D&H Suregrow because she is a surprisingly good doer and stud mix made her gain weight rapidly, so I think it's best to avoid that. But I think I should be feeding her something just to ensure she gets everything her and the foals needs. Any suggestions?

I'd leave her unfed if she is overweight. She should get all she needs from grass if it is good pasture and I wouldn't worry too much about feeding extra until nearer the end of pregnancy. If you are worried about her being deficant in something, could you not get a mineral lick for her?

They don't need anything extra until at least 9 months preggers
