Well it's a year today since I first started sharing Issie and what an absolutely amazing year it's been!
I don't post on here that much, more of a lurker, so to give you a bit of background, I used to ride as a teenager, ended up having a 10 yr break and then OH bought me some lessons a couple of christmases ago. Got totally bitten by the bug and after 6 months decided one or two lessons a week just wasn't enough! After a long search I discovered Issie and her owner, who are both fab!
They have both have taught me so much, my riding and confidence has improved no end (my RI was commenting on that last night too!), I've overcome my fear of cantering , in fact it's my fave pace now! I've started jumping again, have hacked out on my own (and survived), and was due to take part in my first dressage tests this summer but due to an outbreak of stangles at our yard, I couldn't go Oh well there's always next year
I love Issie, she's a spooky, clever, opinionated & crafty mare (knows every trick in the book) but I love the fact she's full of personality. She's very loyal and actually very forgiving of mistakes, has the best stable manners and she loves her work!
And what a difference she's made to my life (home and work) - I'm a much more chilled, happier and confident person. I feel fitter and healthier and have lost weight and toned up over this last year. I have so much to thanks Issie and her owner for! Here's to another fab 12 months!
Sorry for the essay! A large glass of vino if you read all that and here's the bit you've been waiting for....pics (I hope this works) x ....
