Went hacking today...

I've just got back from my first hack in a while and only my 4th altogether. This one was particularly rewarding because I was able to canter for the first time outside the school
First canter, uphill through the woods, went very until we got to the holly tree with low branches, both horses went under and both riders got holly in the face lol!!
Second canter, along the edge of a field, felt very fast- think the lead horse wanted to get home.
I think that was an hour well spent and I'm certainly a happy hacker today!!

Sounds like great fun! I'm jealous. I want desperately to hack but I'm a little nervous about cantering outside of the ring. Good job!

Sounds like great fun, I love hacking! I went on a fab hack last week with some great canters, it really is good for the soul!
