Ok I have changed to her summer pad and its siting too low, I need to tweak and move the stirrup bar, no good for doing 6 miles in.
So I popped on her harness roller and thought well I can walk it, do a bit of trec training on route. I had pre decided my "check points"
This was going to be where we stopped for a bit and she could eat. I know people have views on eating when hacking but to be honest I am building up confidence, if she can stop and eat calmly its an improvement.
The picnic part didn't happen because I had eaten most of it before we set off. :giggle: I finished off the jelly babies at check point 1, and walked along eating the rest of the pasty somewhere before checkpoint 2!!
We did 3 miles and yes I had snapshots-i know the rules.

Checkpoint one-refuelling,

Checking out the view, this is the stony rocky track that is about to go downhill

Excellent terrain for barefoot hooves

Looks like you had a lovely day :-D tilly looks gorgeous as ever and what beautiful countryside to explore.
I am planning a picnic long rein/lead at the end of June to the beach I have bought saddle bags that I'm going to attach to her roller, will have some mini picnic walks before then.
Tilly really suits red and love her blue eye and I too am happy for munch breaks while we are out and about :-D

You look like you have lovely hacking, I have to admit to doing the same when we attempted a picnic ride last year, although i had only packed a kitkat and a can of coke!!

I agree she really suits red!! Very pretty girly!

The idea was to have a nibble while she had one, but i must buy in more stock. Perhaps this could be the preparation picnic.
I have a stowaway boot bag so its not like i will starve.

It looks really good. You have some nice hacking:smile:

I was supposed to have gone out with Cherie yesterday for a ride whilst my two men rode their bikes but I turned into a bag of nervesa:) so we stuck with the gardening:smoke:

I do have nice lanes with a few tracks. We met three scramble bikes as they pop up this way usually on a bank holiday so that was good for her.
