Ohmygosh.... I LOVE my pony. She was wonderful and didn't put a hoof wrong. She was keen and "just point me at a jump mum, I've got it covered" I ended up sleeping off my nerves and just enjoyed it. Dressage was not as nerve-wracking as I expected. I remembered the test and zoned out caller Jen. Gracie tried her best, but isn't in a consistent contact yet, plus her dodgy left bend made a slight appearance....but who cares?!!! She coped with the arena, flowers and white boards without a second glance.
SJ she attacked with gusto....and then I forgot the course and went from jump 4 to jump 8!!! So we were eliminated!!! BUT the judges asked if i wanted to continue the course AND do the XC so of course we did.
We cantered the whole XC course this time - including downhill on wet grass....me!! And she didn't slip once!!
I really didn't care that we weren't placed, it was so brilliant and I'm so proud of Gracie for being so honest and forgiving...and myself for managing to get over my jumping nerves.....look what I've been missing!!!
Pics anyone??
