On really cold days when tights are not enough wear a pair of men's long john's under your riding trousers. They are much warmer than ladies. My hubby can never find his long johns in winter - can't imagine why!
Oh the glamour, Oh the glitz and romance of riding!
I had a pair of bright red long johns. A friend was going to the hunt ball and complained how cold it was last year. So she borrowed my red long johns to go under her ball gown!
don't use the cotton kind...when they get wet or weaty they will make you colder. Invest in some polypropelene or thermax long underwear...they are wonderful...and only cost anout $15 for a set in the US...you can get them from camping catalogs.
Hmmm. Well, as I live in Florida... even in winter it is not what one would call cold. But here, we are considered freezing at 50 degrees farenheit!!! So I tend to wear chaps over riding pants, or heavy leather chaps over *gulp* jeans.
