Training a mane to lie one way - help please!!

Hi,

Fabio's mane insists on flopping both ways, no matter how much i brush it to one side. I made sure all winter that i was groomed the right way before putting his rugs on so it lay right, but within a day its back to normal!!

Is there anyway to train it properly to stay one side? Or am i stuck with the big ragbag?!!!

put a lyrcra hood on. For my yearling who still has his baby wisps I am going to gel his mane to the side, and then put a hood on.

wet hair, plait it over and put a hood over it.

will work better if the mane isnt very thick

Try quic braid mane spray. Its great for mane taming and plaitting. It worked really well on my ex polo pony who was hogged when I got her and then went through a punk/zebra stage whilst growing it out!

Plait, spray with cowboy magic or canter mane and tail, keep brushing. It won't happen overnight, but I'm getting there with Beau's-failry determined to do centre parting til now!
