My little one on his Papa's horse

who says he's too young?!

Good weather, so his little 10min 'pony rides will start again'.

Ok, so he is almost two and only having pony rides under instruction from physio to help with his pelvis and balance, but wow does it work!

And he enjoys it so much!

Well that day he was far more interested in playing in the muck heap!

Hey, Dawn_Connie, my friend started riding when she was three and now she's an advanced rider, she competes in Hunters. I don't think he is too young, depending on how you start him out.

That's great that it is helping him.

Well, it was his physio who ordered my Dad to take him out last year. Usually kids as young as him shouldnt ride, because of their hips, but in his case its perfect for him. All the movement that happens on a horse is recreated on a big gym ball, but its not the same.

He wasnt wlaking last year, could barely sit up, and the difference after a few sessions on Connie was amazing!

Just a shame that whoever is holding him gets sore as she is not a pony! lol!

Small Boy has been riding seriously for a year. Before that he would ride on our loan shettie. He has more skill and talent than I will ever have!

He did his first gallop(not intentional) last year when SGWT tanked off in the field.

Tomorrow he is off for 3 hours jumping! and then a lesson in the evening!

Small Boy is 8!

Aww very sweet, I think the youngest we've had when we were giving pony rides was an 18 month baby, was very cute!

I hope he continues to enjoy his "pony" rides and they do wonders for his pelvis and balance :D

Awww so nice to see little kids on ponies! The therapeutic wonders that horses create :)

ETA - Love the horse on the right hand side of the pic - someone a bit moody?! :D

hes a big sweety pie, Connies stablemate. he is the one who blows on Chris and makes him laugh, not bad as he used to be scared of strange little person!
