I bought a pony in April, it has a passport from The Gypsy Cob Society LTD in Cumbria. I have emailed, rang and written to them, for the correct paperwork to change the passport into my name, I have had no response from them.

The time is passing and I have had my pony for 7 months now, I followed a thread on here the other day, about the Nation Equine Data base, I entered her passport number, and she wasn't on the database, so I emailed them also.

Guess what.....no response of them either!!!

I just think that I will have to get my vet out and pay for another passport, any ideas anyone?

I might be wrong, but I'm sure I hear one of the Gypsy horse socieities had disappeared. You can't get her a 2nd passport-it's illegal. I'd keep trying the issuers: hope you can get it sorted.

Try contacting DEFRA and they will advise you on what to do, they will also be able to advise on any societies that have dispersed, but it is illegal to get another passport. Wouldn't worry about your cob not being on NED as mine isn't either.
