I probably should have asked this question 8 months ago but...
Are there standard aids to ask for special gaits such as pace or tolt etc?
Connor is a pacer. He readily trots and canters when asked. He paces in the school if he loses his balance. If I want him to pace out on a hack I can ask for trot and then "push" for more speed, or else ask for canter then hold him in and immediately release/push on when he switches. Sorry if that doesn't make sense, it's hard to describe as it depends on what his legs are doing as to how I ask.
But is there is particular aid I should be teaching him to associate with pace?
