Today was the day me and Sox tackled stressless dressage, Christmas themed!
We were doing intro A and premlim 2 2016. I felt intro a went quite well. Considering people who were meant to support me were running late. However I was nervous the arena.had had a revamp and it now had two massive mirrors down the long side!!! Sox has never seen mirrors!
So we did a few giraffe turns as he was wondering who an earth was starring at him in the mirror!!
We went back into the warm up and he was full off it. I mean. Doing a very fast canter, doing a full lap of a 50mx 30m school before slowing. Then everytime I asked for canter he leaped and jumped in the air before cantering. I put him into walk, a horse went cantering by and we were.off leaping again!!
I was so pleased with him today though! We have been working on our canter which is getting better. Annoyed slightly as I missed a 20meter circle, the bell rang and I was told to just go around and do it again. I would have got 68% if I hadn't messed up! And would have got a 8.5 or 9 for that movement not 7.5! But I still get stuck on the small things such as trotting too early or too late...
Then we had a lovely fast walk home! Which was needed as he was warm but not dripping!
