This seems the best section to post this in (I think) so....
My toes dislocate very very easily, to the point where if I use ordinary stirrups and put any pressure in them, they come out of their joints and by the time I get off I can't walk as they have popped out and hurt unbearably. Out of choice, I don't use stirrups, but if I do, I have them mega long so I can't put weight in them. This obviously leads to problems jumping/rising trot, etc. I can't run on hard ground either, 'cause they will just pop out suddenly and then I'm left to try to hop home!
Would wider tread stirrups (like the HM ones) be better? Or cage ones? Any ideas? Have just got a new saddle
so this problem has come up again, and to be honest, the thought of putting stirrups on and having it happen again makes me feel sick. I remember all too well how much it hurts!
Any help/advice much appreciated
.
ETA: would those riding boots with the steel reinforcement in the sole help possibly? Just wondering....
