we have 2 barns/outbuildings that could easily be converted into stables but I am a little concerned about the ceiling heights. What height would be a minimum for something around 16- 16.2hh? I am looking at getting a draught type or a friesian x. The floor space in one is 36' x 14' so would easily convert into 2 or 3 boxes and the other is 20' x 14'. The biggest one has fairly low beams which are bothering me, but I'd like to not have to put a whole new roof on if I can help it!
