Sorry another advice needed post

I’d politely say that it isn’t your fault they hadn’t bought sufficient water with them and you would like them to remedy the problem or give a refund, they have every opportunity to fix it before you give bad reviews then and no one can say otherwise if you have outright asked them.

My temper would say both, but @Jessey has got the better idea. And point out any remedy or refund needs to be for both of you.
 
I have replied. Hopefully politely. I know I don’t always get interpersonal interactions correct so always worry I get it wrong. I pointed out the particular areas of issue, that I hadn’t realised water would be in issue as they knew they were doing two. And also that they were an hour late. Please could they rectify.
 
Send them a message saying the have made an excuse as to why it went wrong but have done nothing to rectify it, ie put it right.
