Solo trailering

I feel your pain jessey. I have one who will be fine 80% of the time, but that concern about them not getting in is annoying. Nornally the other 19% he will get on in less than 5 mins, but that last 1% has been an hour and a half.

No advice, but i hope you crack it.

By Joe I think we’re getting there!

I got him some magic calmer to try and help with the anxiety, it said 3-10 days loading dose and he only had the first yesterday so not sure it’s that already but he was super chilled today. He’s also been on a fresh field for the last 2 nights and I had to wait until after his morning nap before we went.

Loaded first time at home, travelled very happily (munching hay), waited in the trailer patiently while I got organised. Came off happy and stood with everything hanging out while I tacked up 😆

We went for a half hour ride, I just kept it low key to hang on to the surfer dude vibe 😉😂 got back to the trailer and pottered about untacking and gave him a little Speedibeet as a treat. Then he loaded straight up…but it took 4 tries to stand there while I did the breach bar up. I can settle for that for now 👍

Another trip out today, he was a bit sticky at home, but soon loaded and we did lots of on and offs, then happily stood munching hay while I got myself organised. Travelled like a lamb and again stood munching hay while I pottered about and came off nice and chilled.

Then we went for a short ride and on return he loaded in about 3 seconds flat and quietly stood munching while I again pottered about and he travelled home like a champ, and happily waited to be unloaded. He’s definitely getting the hang of it now 🥰
