A flippin' CAT.........

Leilani came over late afternoon so I waited until she arrived to go and do
the Horses so that she could see Bertie.

When we got to Yard it was getting dark, so we fed, filled Haynets and all
the time I was aware of a Cat 'meowing'.

When we finished I could hear him quite plainly infact LOUDLY and looked
over as he jumped up on the wall of the Yard.....its fair to say he was
'BELLOWING' at us, in fact, SO LOUDLY TWO of the Neighbours came out
to see what all the noise was:bounce:

I could see he wasn't very old, about a year I would guess, nobody recognised him, Leilani was almost in tears and I just sort of had a gut feeling
this cat was LOST........he was so friendly but LOUD, I eventually, after
the Neighbours all went back in and left me to it, put him in my car, drove
up the Lanes and did a bit of door knocking.......nobody knew who he belonged to SO I BROUGHT HIM HOME:wink:

He was as I say very friendly, and was quite obviously somebodies pampered
pet BUT WHO did he belong too?

Put it on facebook, on a couple of lost cat forums, everybody near my Yard
knew I had him if anyone was missing a Neutered Male Kitty:wink:

One of my Staffies adored him, other wanted to 'eat him':cold: and we
had a lovely night of disturbed sleep with him either PURRING or BELLOWING:bounce: He was Hungry/Thirsty so fed/watered etc., and he
curled up with Lani and promptly went to sleep. I spent a fortune on Cat Litter/Tray and Food last night !!

Today it was obvious he couldn't stay, much too much of a risk with one of
my Staffies and a nightmare keeping them apart. So did what any sensible
person would do and rang COOKSTER:smile: She said either She or Louise
would have him whilst we put up posters. Took him to their Yard and they
had hit on the idea of taking him to the place up the Road that takes in
stray dogs and seeing if he was Microchipped........HE WAS......and so they traced the Owner
took him Home for me.

It would seem this couple had TWO cats, both chased by something and both
LOST on the same day.......TWO WEEKS AGO.......one cat was found
Yesterday and returned and now this one today:biggrin:
He lived about 5 Miles away from the Yard and about 1 mile away from where I live, lol.
SO Both Cats Home again and owners very happy.........

I can look forward to a good nights sleep with nothing bellowing or purring
in my ear like a BUZZ SAW:biggrin::bounce:

I am so glad I followed my instincts and brought him home, even though in
all honesty it was a PAIN:smoke:

Good on you for finding his owner, sadly so many people wouldn't bother. He sounds like a wee character :D

Aw, I like happy endings - well done on you :D

My horse has a stray cat that sleeps in his stable every night. Of the 40 stables, it's in mine. At our yard he had a feline stable mate too - obviously he's cat horse opposed to a dog one ;)

TBH that was sort of my 'last' option, to have him as a Yard type Cat but
tbh you could just tell he was somebodies 'pampered' pet and he absolutely
loved people and he deserved a proper 'home'.

Other than the fact he was a bit 'lean' he was relatively clean and tidy, OK
he had picked up a few 'friends' along the way and I frontlined him last
night, but other than that he was OK. VERY Hungry, and bit of a tummy upset but on the whole
not bad for a 'homely cat' that had been out and about for two weeks.

He settled within 5 minutes of coming home last night and you could tell
he thought he had hit 'paydirt' lol, and took no time stretching out and making
himself comfortable after being fed. The only reason he bellowed in the night
was because he needed to use the 'cat tray' and wasn't sure where it was
I think, as soon as I showed him, he used it:smile: AGAIN AND AGAIN cos of his poor tummy.

I am just glad Cookster knows this Lady who takes in strays from when
she lost Millie, otherwise he would have had to wait until we could have
taken him to the Vets tomorrow to be scanned, so at least he was sorted today and is
now back HOME:wink::smile: TBH he was such a 'lovely' cat it would not have been at all difficult to re-home him and
a few people offered, but having lost several cats to 'other people' who just took them in and fed them etc., before now myself, I wanted
to at least attempt to find his 'rightful' Owners.

On looking thro' a 'lost Cats' website in Bristol there are in fact ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY SEVEN missing Cats in Bristol alone at this time !!!! OMG
That is horrendous, so YES he was a very lucky PUSS:wink:

Mind I had to laugh as my No.1 Son saw it on facebook and rang me to say 'are you mad getting a Cat with the Dogs !!'......I said 'he is lost I know he is by the way he was bellowing at me' his reply lol 'Oh, so you TALK CAT now do you'?

WELL , I OBVIOUSLY DO  AND made a POINT of ringing him to
tell him so:smoke:
