cant you just buy those jods/jeans with the suede bit under the gusset/inside leg?

Probably but I never ride in jods & possibly never will again so would prefer to have something permanently on the saddle.

Another idea, cos someone mention for back to prevent saddle slipping.

You could those piece of sqaure material in one pound shop for preventing mobile fone, keys glasses etc slipping around on dashboard.
Might be worth a try to put on saddle seat to see if you like it then buy the real thing or if the cheat one does the job fine, job done.
