Safe/unsafe for horses

A FB friend linked to this website which I thought I'd share, as we always seem to be asking each other what tasty treats are safe for them.

Most of what is on that list I wouldn't dream if giving.

I keep it simples, apple or carrot.

I know folk who have winning Hackney horses whose feed consists of a large potato ration.

Mine loves grapes and I know he'd sell his soul for a banana !

Sham loves anything banana flavour, but won't touch the actual fruit.

Her fieldmate Heidi will only eat bananas whole with the skin on.

Oh dear cauliflower and broccoli I feed every so often. But then my horse has the gasiest bottom you'll ever meet so I don't notice any difference.

In my ignorance we used to feed potatoes to our ponies as kids, they never came to any harm though but I don't now.
