Its a sad time in the Horse World....

In the last few weeks I have been offered two Horses for free, one
of them especially I have to sit on my hands to say NO:smoke:

There is a part of me that thinks, where is the problem with one more,
and my 'serious' head is saying, 'blimey, you struggle at times now both
time wise especially and financially, with the cost of hay etc.,'

Oh to win the lottery and have my own little 'Farm'..............

We do a bit of exracehorse rehabilitation and have also had to say 'no more'. We get at least one phone call a week about horses needing to be given away and many more about those going very cheaply...£500 on average.

Even having our own land we still cannot take on endless mouths to feed

Sad times which I suspect will not get better for a few years.

It really makes me worry about what the future might hold for my own horse, you just never know what might be round the corner. I feel so sorry for anyone at the stage where they've had to give up their horse, must be horrible for them. Fed up of this damn economy.
