So been a little quiet - new job, doggy, ponies, Christmas la la la...

Rascal is as fab as always - always happy, always pleased to see me and he is feeling all grown up as the rest of the horses are now in with my two (they stay in winter field during summer as less grazing, so now other horses are in there for winter). He is strutting his stuff with the three biggest geldings following him about like he is a king :redcarded: Very funny to watch, he swaggers into the field, looks about and calls "his boys" and they all march over to him and then he walks off with them following :giggle:

I havent done anything with him really, and need to start doing work with him getting back out on long lines, however unusually for him he is quite happy with this at the moment (he loves to work as he loves the attention) but the "boys" are keeping him out of trouble!

Madam has been poorly again, she swelled up and blistered all over - but remarkably her hair hasnt come off. Zingy has bowened her a couple of times and this really helps her - cant explain why or how it works but she has an a very extreme positive reaction to it - significant differeces within 12hours. Very odd! Also put her onto the global herbs immuplus/restore which has helped her.

She is still up to her favourite tricks in the school

Loving Rascal strutting his stuff and taking over the herd! Typical little man syndrome eh?:giggle:

That last piccy of Silver looking over the fence is lovely...the coloue green head collar really is her isn't it?

They look very happy. Lovely area, those rocks look bottom proof, as in to sit on to take in the views.

Though i wouldn't be taking a photo if Tilley rolled with her tack on, that would definitely get a correction of me. Rolling is one thing, with tack is a no go.

Mmm it's something I can't seem to change anything about short of hitting her with a lunge whip which wod be dangerous. It's something about the surface - she has never rolled tacked up out of a school - think the sand itches her better than anywhere else?! I had let her go whilst I Locke gate and I turned about and there she was! She just drops to the floor - she did at theist show we went too - walking about and thought she was slowing up - turned Around and she was on the floor - if I am on board she gives warning but otherwise she drops suddenly. It's like she can't help herself?

It's a good job she has a treeless saddle!

Rascals new thing is to wee when he sees me - doesn't matter if he is in or out he wees when I call him! Trying to convince myself it's because he is excited to see me... Haha such charming ponies!

Sometimes the cob has a wee when i bring in, she rarely goes when out of field. Unheard of in the school, but you know she needs to.
I know she isn't a child and not in anyway human-but it can feel like make sure you go before we go out, there are no toilets on route. :giggle:

When she first went down with tack on, fair enough she had sweated and it was a natural reaction to that. I encouraged her back up. Next time however i did hit the ground with my stick, not done it since. She can roll to her hearts content in the field, but when we do something together that's not the time, afterwards yep enjoy yourself.
