pony got into oats

Hi

My pony got into oats about an hour ago. I don't know just how much he ate, but I'm worried. Is there something I should be looking out for?

look out for signs of colic and ring the vet if you're at all worried.

Do you mean a bag of whole oats or rolled oats, or a field of the stuff growing?

I don't think he ate many as he was pretty nervous about having gone into the feed area..where he's never been and actually had to knock the metal lid off the can...so I think he probably spent so much time being nervous and getting the lid off he didn't eat much...thankfully.
