My little romanian girl not seen since Friday, she is a very timid scared romanian street cat, never been out. We had workmen here on Friday and not sure if she has escaped. Have barricades one of the doors so the others can't get out and opened the catflap which is always closed...can't find her in the house, if she is outdoors, she is toast.

Hope you have her back now. The workmen didn't take any floorboards up or create any other holes into spaces did they?

It's pretty clear she is out and the silly bs left the door open, just like they opened and left windows open last time! I only found out next morning when I went up to do the litter tray in that room and saw them open, so we then had 3 days of not knowing if she was out or not - she came out of a room on day 4. So have wasted almost a week now thinking she was hiding in the house. They didn't take up any boards or make holes, in fact they didn't do anything as decided something else needed to be done so coming back. I am afraid Suki is now toast, the chances of finding her or getting her in are zero. I kept her safe for 7 years as an indoor cat and those careless arrrogant men have killed her. We told them time and time again about the doors, and I managed to get most of the cats into a bedroom which was closed off, but she and Jaimie and Foxy are hard to catch. She is the worst one to get out. She had just after 7 years enjoyed being cuddled! The chances of catching her even if you spot her are zero. So i have left the boiler room open and put in her litter tray bed and scattered litter all over the garden, going to put up cameras and see if we spot her. if we can corner her in the boiler room i can catch her as there is no way out of it except the one door. She will be completely terrified, she has no teeth, can't bloody hunt, blind in one eye and the sweetest little thing. I can't even begin to express my feelings at the moment.

Trap is empty food in boiler room gone but could be cats next door. trying to rig up a camera but with our thick walls signal may be difficult. Harrison poodle was interested in a scent when on his walk this morning, outside our boundary, as she hasn't been outdoors could be her or could be a badger. Filthy wet night poor girl.

Sorry to hear that
I don't thnk we will get her back, all we can see on the camera is next door's cat, including the one we caught in the trap. She will be utterly terrified and suffer so much. I would rather find her dead than know that she is lost and has no idea where she is or what to do, she was the most vulnerable one and most timid.

Our lovely barn cat, Chester, disappeared when he was ill, having seizures - we never found him, and know he would have died. We so wanted him to pass peacefully, in his little snug cubbyhole in the barn. Sadly, cats' independence has drawbacks.

she didn't want to go out, they left the door open she bolted. She has never been outside in 7 years, never attempted to, she ran off as she was frightened by the strangers in the house and I hadn't been able to get her locked in the bedroom out of the way.

Still not sign of her. Put some food down at the stables, it has been eaten this afternoon, rigged the camera up on it so can see if it is eaten again and by which animal

We have had cameras up and food out but no sightings of her, various other cats, badgers, crows eating the food. Have to assume she is now dead as she has no teeth so would not be able to hunt, even if she knew how, and would not seek food from people as she is so timid. She was a plump girl when she got out so would have decent fat reserves compared to some of the others but it will be four weeks on Friday and i am told that cats can survive 2 weeks without food so she is likely to be dead by now. What a horrible death for her, hungry and terrified. All due to arrogant builders who left the door open. We kept her in for 7 years in safety. All through hot summers, no windows open. Just heartbroken.

It's so sad when this happens. We'd all prefer, if they have to go, that we can keep them warm and safe until they do. OH and I will always feel guilty for not getting to the vets in time to hold Alfie when he passed. I had Bruno in my arms at his time, and was with Ramsey at his.

all if mine, except Lucy who was a rta, died like that. She died in dave's arms at the vets

Nothing, she must be gone. Still look for her but have taken down the camera and put the trap away. I hate to imagine how she died, terrified, hungry, cold. She was such a sweet sweet timid girl, lived a little life, but was happy.

Exactly how we felt about Chester, the barn cat. The only consolation was that he had many happy years, safe and content.

So sorry to read this. We had one that never quite mentally recovered after a natural disaster. She left the house one morning a few weeks after and never came back. She was 15 at the time.

No sign of her, not even her body. Every time i drive up the road or come back when it is getting dark i keep looking for her, but she is gone, has to be. Rescued from Romania, killed in UK through sheer bloody negligence, They were told told told not to leave doors open but workmen always know best.
