Plaiting the night before

So just wondering as my show is early next sun and i have two horses to ride and therefore plait as my hubby's fingers are too big (in his own words and he just "cant do it") how many people plait the night before??

I prefer not to and havent even before as think uncomfortable but this time I may have to plait them and roll them in the morning :frown:

My daughter does the plaits the night before then rolls them up in the morning

I plait the night before and still turn them out for the night. Such good boys they hardly ever knock one out. I do the roll in the morning.

If we have a seriously early start (say leave before 6am) we plait fully the night before and put a lycra hood on.

Ive only taken them to same shows before a few times and was always later in the day so never bothered me getting them ready.

Does anyone else's hands cramp when plaiting? Or maybe its just my age as never used to!

Everyone on my yard plaits the night before. They all plait fully and most of the horses don't knock them out.

Im not worried if plaits come out overnight just dont think comfy for the horse left in but my show isnt as early now as first thought but might still plait night before and roll in morning to save rushing :wink:

haha wouldnt work for racehorse to riding horse classes as might notice me sneaking a native pony into their midst :giggle:
