A friend's horse had the vet up today: we knew something was wrong as he slightly drags his left hind and is 'blocked' behind his saddle area. The vet says he is periodically numb in his hinds and is sending him for a scan. Think he was broken way too young ie at 2-owner was unaware of his age. The sharer mentioned companion, but the horse can be aggressive with other horses, possibly due to his problem-attack before being attacked.
The owner says he'll do whatever it takes as the horse is young (7). He can't be ridden because of the issues. Big problem, the insurance is with E&L and the vet has therefore asked for payment from the owner direct and bone scans are not cheap.
Any thoughts?
