My horse has been given tildren three weeks ago, he is moving quite freely but doesnt track up on the side of his arthritic hock due to him not flexing his hock. Should I give him bute to see if this encourages him to flex his hock more? is there alternatives? or is this just how he moves now?

The vet hasnt said anything. He just gave him the Tildren and went. He is due back in a week and half. I was told to exercise him daily but am really concerned that the lack of tracking up is a sign of pain.

Tildren should be given 3-6 months to work and you may need a second dosage.

I use dried herbs for my horse that I order then mix. I cannot rec herbs highly enough. She was diagnosed when crippled in walk and after rest told be on danilon forever and when weaned to one a day still not right

After 6 weeks on the herbs she was cantering round bucking like a youngster and amazing us all and since never been lame with care of course and competing on the flat with good results :cloud9:

I would ask vet but also contact a herbalist or homeopath for equines
