Albs and I found this on our ride at lunchtime.....
So I used it as an opportunity to desensitise him, leaned over and grabbed the string. His ears were initially a bit flicky at the "crinkly-ness" of it, but then he settled so I let go of the balloon and held the string, which bobbed along, bumping him on the side of his near quarters whilst we walked and trotted... and that was boring because he wasn't bothered at all....
So then I wondered what to actually DO with it! Didn't want to just let it go because some other poor suspecting rider may have come along on their not-quite-so-placid-as-Albs hoss, so we battled through some long nettles and managed to half-hide it..... phew!
