Mixing hay and haylage?

Anyone do it?

I'm struggling with mine having wet poo...gonna move over to hay by mixing it...if it solves their wet poo then is it ok to stay with a mixture or would it be better to fully move onto hay?

I did last year. Caymen bolts down haylage so it was in an attempt to slow him down.
He is on haylage this year but I have hay too which I will use if need be.

Mixing it worked well for us.

Mine have a mix and match , sometimes with some straw as well!

Our hay is not that brilliant this year. So i have put max on both hay and haylage mix. With the idea of going to fully haylage little minx now leaves the hay and just eats the haylage.

I have always given Sonny a mixture, he seems to do well on it!
