Malcolm Sibley, the racecourse worker injured in a nasty incident at Haydock on Saturday, is reported to be "critical but stable."
The David Nicholls-trained Pure Imagination got loose before the one-mile handicap and crashed through a running rail, colliding with Sibley.
He was taken to Fazakerley Hospital and Haydock clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright said: "He's in intensive care and is critical but stable, that is all we know."
