Lump Found Please Help!!!

hey jus brought my filly down to feed and pick out her hooves etc,
and i found a small noticable lump, its hard and fingernail-ish size,
it's on her side just before her ribs.
Any idea what it is?
I've never had it with any of my other horses so Im not really sure what it is
I'm panicking a bit now but the vet is supposed to be coming in the next few days
Should I be overly worried?

hi, this may just be a simple answer but my tb has similar lumps to what you have described, could it just be a fly bite?

yep id go fly bites, have a good poke it shouldnt hurt her, if it does think again

Thats what I was thinking but she's been out in her lightweight allday because of the rain as she suffers from rainscald so i'm not sure.
I hope it's a fly bite.

theres plenty of bugs that get underneath rugs, so long as it says the same size, and doesnt hurt wait for the vet, they quite often get a bit of a head on them, like a scab, so long as there no big hole underneath the scab dont worry
