Tried on another pair of boots and she just stood there. It's that a serious no they don't fit as you don't wish to even walk in them.
So that's a nope, but she's got one that fits really nicely. Will keep that plus the spare in case as that one is better for poultice.

Then I saw the cob I rode being ridden by the staff at the stables. It's sort of inspiring me to book a lesson. The forecast is actually and thunderous next week. I know we've been waiting for the wet weather. So the school night not be so dusty.
Hope you find some boots that fit soon.

Okay random thought.

Occasionally I watch the video clips of people with the Kings Guard horse. They seem to enjoy getting right in it's face, trying to touch it, take photos, think it's a tourist attraction etc etc etc.
I never get this issue out with mine. People ask if they can stroke her. Now obviously the guard won't reply, but I reckon they need as much patience as the horse!

It is a tourist attraction. And Londoners who like horses go there too. We do. I once took a pic of OH, there by the horse. But I cant find it just now. My index to pics got lost in changing computers a couple of years ago.
There is a Cavalry Museum above the gate, at which a neighbour of mine (wife of a military historian) was a volunteer helper. So they want to attract visitors. And a kind officer once sent me a video showing the cavalry dismount.

If you watced the trooping of the colour, you will see how important it is for the cavalry horses to learn to tolerate traffic and crowds.
They sometimes have additional foot guards who march up and down and stamp their feet a bit and warn off the crowds if needed.

My EquiHUT sold, the company advertised it on their page and sold it for me within 24hours! What do I get them as thanks? They got me alot more for it than I would have for selling it myself and it was such a nice thing for them to do. They are collecting it also.

Thought I would get them a thank you card and give them some money, maybe £100? I'm not sure I would have sold it without their help!

That’s brilliant news! How good of them. Most companies you can’t accept cash, but maybe having a hamper of goodies delivered, or an afternoon tea type box, so the whole office can tuck in.

That's a great idea, I get our vets a goody hamper from Cadbury at Christmas, there's a bit of something in there for everyone.

They are very small business, just a couple that run it I believe. I'm sure they could accept a tip?

That's great, but don't forget that it helps their brand and reputation to provide good customer service. We are here now talking about it for example, and if they hadn't helped you I wouldn't have known the name of their brand. I would say that a thank you card would suffice. £100 cash seems excessive to me.

I might go and visit the Cavalrly museum on Saturday as I am going into London. Thanks for the reminder.

I've been searching and looking for a new gilet - I wear one most days as I'm out and about on the yard and I don't always need a proper coat, but not warm enough to go without. Anyway, thought I'd ask you guys for recommendations? I just can't see any I like. I am currently wearing out my favourite one that I bought second hand off ebay (Denim Co) and would love to replace it but they are like the proverbial rocking horse poop on there. I'm happy for a new one but just can't see any I like the look of or that get good reviews. Are they not as popular as they used to be?
I looked on Eileen Douglas tackshop but there weren't any that I fancied there.

I have two that I love, one is a Pikeur one that’s never been near a horse (I’ve always said it’s far too nice) the other which really is my favourite came from Aldi and I wish I’d bought a spare!
I have a couple of others but wouldn’t recommend either one is requisite, it’s ok but came up really small, I bought a size 12 (I was a 10 at the time) but even that was small on the chest, the other is a Laura Garrelli one, fits lovely but the damned zip gets caught all the time in the zip flap!

I think I might look for another Pikeur one. I have had a few over the years - but I got bored with them - lol I love a change! But I might seek one or two out on ebay. If I buy from new, it won't be getting yard use, hehehee. They are nice just to pop on to go to the village shops aren't they. I get sick of wearing a proper coat at this time of year.

I’ve got a musto one which I love @Trewsers, even better that it was a nearly new eBay bargain! And when it’s really cold I love my carhart arctic vest, it’s so tough and warm though not very fetching.
