crap possition yes?

Harley looks fab and you look really good together. The pair of you are really coming on well:D

Just one thing Beth, I love your posts but hows about losing the "crap position" type comments?

Well done! and your position is fine for that height of fences - both you and horsey are in balance, that's all you need worry about for now :)

Only thing I can say - which hole is your gag on? I can't see clearly because of the action shots (lol) but if it's on the bottom ring it ought to be on two reins. Apologies if it's not and I'm just blind :)

well done beth! look how far you have come!! whoo-hoo! :bounce:

dont be so down on yourself... remember a pic is a split second in time and instead of trying to hold a rigid 'position' think of it like a fluent movement with the horse. you look better in the first pic, your lower leg is better and you are sitting up more. In the others you are over folding and bring your hands in towards you - you dont need to fold at all at that height. As you come into the fence just keep your reins nice and short but with a soft contact so your hands are already where they are in that first pic. Think about sitting up and keeping your shoulders back and as he takes off just go with him, dont think about folding and that way you will naturally move with him anyway and wont get infront of the movement.

but i think you look great, the above is just to help, its so good to see your confidence so high and you loving it so much:biggrin: well done you:bounce:

Thanks for the advice :)
midnight_ashes the reins are on the bottom ring of the gag but I have been told by his owner not to move them as he is used to it?? I tried riding him off the snaffle ring and he was quite upset by it, throwing his head about, and we had no brakes what so ever (luckily the one rein stop came in handy  )
I don't know how to ride with two reins, and I always make sure I'm not pulling on his mouth at all (especially in jumping, hence why I have the neck strap incase i get left behind, so I hold that instead of jabbing him in the mouth)

I was just happy I stayed on tbh  we had a hairy moment, where he went bombing into the straight part of the double, cantered over to the cross, changed his mind and shot off in the other direction resulting in me being almost thrown to the floor

I am going to get some jumping lessons though :D
