Another injury. Hole in his check ligament this time. Not lame. Just swollen which went down quickly. We almost didn't even scan him. A hole rather than a tear is unusual. Done sometimes overnight in the field. Bad luck again. So back to box rest šŸ˜

It has a good prognosis. He is so settled in his stable now that makes it easier. But It's just all pants! I can do his walking from week 5 under saddle. Another scan after 6 weeks

Oh heck thatā€™s absolutely rubbish! Poor guy has had no luck and you must be at your wits end ā˜¹ļø itā€™s good that he is settled in though, that makes it a little easier x

That is rubbish. Best time of year if there is such a thing. You will at least be out of all the yuk weather and muddy fields.

So rubbish for you, just one thing after another for you both šŸ˜ž mine did his check ligament as bad as he could do, complete tear, and he came back well on it, just takes such a long time.

Oh thats such a shame. Plus side they do tend to heal up really well. Our little bay horse did his and was hideously lame. Never scanned as treatment is all the same and he is happily strutting his stuff at novice leve at 20 years old!

Thanks everyone. Vet thinks 3-4 months to be back to full work. Which is alot better then my Google searches in the time between first vet conversation and the scan! Im hoping that as it is a hole to fill in rather than a tear to repair that's a good thing. It's just so unfair for him. He is so stoical too which makes me emotional. Vet is very impressed with him! But is equally as gutted Just keep thinking tho at least we DID scan him and that I didn't just put him back out again. He is still being very good and is in full on clown mode and delighted to entertain everyone.

Oh no :( I feel your pain and Harvey only had thickening in his so was allowed paddock rest. Fingers crossed for a quick recovery

He is being amazingly well behaved. So chilled. However he had a real problem with this wheelbarrow. He had bother yesterday with it falling over and he tried hard to help it. Today the same issue, he did such a good job at trying to keep it upright......

Today's morning entertainment. He limboed under that stall chain. Luckily another livery was a out and quickly shut the doors out of the barn while robin went looking for other people's treats. He is not clever or funny, however he doesn't believe me when I say that!

Not yours too, when Bo was on box rest many years ago he limboed his chain, so I put one of those deep fabric guards on instead and he somehow still managed it! You try and be nice to them and they just take advantage of it!
