Horses have reflective strips on rugs but can get silly when we use a torch in the field..not normally a big issue as they usually come to call but has anyone any ideas/seen light strips or similar we could sew to rugs ) perhaps solar powered??

We used to clip the little flashing red led dog collar light onto the tails and fronts of rugs, tiny watch battery that lasted about a month,we got the batteries in packs of 20 from the £1 shop well for us :)

My horses old rug had a solar powered red flashing light on it! Cant remember the brand now was something like Nikita?? but must be something out there similar you can fix onto any rug!

I wonder where the best place would be to fix something? You can bet they would always be facing the wrong way whenever you were trying to spot them!

How about something like this? Not cheap but don't need any batteries over the 10 yr life (or so it says). There are other sellers of the same Nitestiks on eBay.

20 mts might not be enough though

Bailey has reflective stars on her rug, never had an issue with me being far away and flashing a torch although her field mate was never keen on me checking him over fully with it up close.
