Ifor williams 505 side panel replacement

Wondered if anyone has experience with replacing side panels on an ifor 505. I have the panels and my son is quite keen to have a crack at doing it. I'm trying to find out what's involved and any advice about how to go about this before I let him loose!

I had the ramp replaced on mine. You have to order the panel from ifor Williams. I went via the local dealer. The actual getting the work done was quick but it took a while for them to get the part as they have to order from the main place. I think the issue right now will be getting the part. My friend ordered a new trailer from them 18months ago. They have just told her they will not be able to get one for her as ifor are struggling to get parts to build them.

I have the panels -as you say took a while...- I'm now wondering how hard they are to fit as a Diy job?

Depends how good your diy skills are, and also the age of the trailer, if the bolts are rusted in place and you’ve got to drill them out you’ve got to be pretty confident at what you’re doing. There’s quite a lot to strip back to get the panels out too.
