Ice in water buckets this am ....

Winter has finally arrived - had to break layer of ice off water buckets this morning - not a very thick layer though!!. Then went to check hens we're looking after for next door and a chick was hatched in the night - going back to check in a minute to see if anymore have hatched - funny time of year for chicks!. PS any hen experts on NR - will chicks survive this time of year???.

God it was showing -2 on my temp gauge this morning!!!

Went up to check Kia and he was toastie in his new rug. i had put a ball in the bucket last night as I knew it was gonna freeze!!!

that was one of the best tips i have had off this site!!!

ice on my car this morning nd a thick frost on the ground. I'm looking after my YOs horses at the mo as she is in france and it was the first time the foal had seen or felt frost it was very funny to watch
