are you able to ride your own ponies/horses for your group or do they make you ride one of thiers.
just curious as in our area there has been some differences between groups.
ours allows us to use our own as long as they are BHS Gold members with the good public liability ins that provides. other groups will not allow at all
just wonderedc if anyone else has come across this

I have my own horses and ride for my group but not with them. I have my own trainer too. I do participate in group fundraising etc. I am grade 4 so am fortunate, and had a lot of horse ownership and competition experience before my accident, which was horse related. I needed the RDA in the early years to help me adjust to my new circumstances and abilities and will be forever grateful to them for their assistance. I also would have missed out on meeting and befriending some amazing people had I not had the accident, and have to say my life is richer and more meaningful as a result. It took a drastic full stop in my life to make me re-assess where I was going, I was too busy just trying to keep pace to do it before. Sorry drifting off topic. My horses are insured and our RDA trainer still supports me at the regionals and Nationals if I need her, but I tend to be pretty self sufficient these days.
