Horse Hunt 2

I am looking forward to a new horse arriving on a horse hunt thread. That's been thrown back in my face šŸ˜”
I am not even allowed to be happy for someone without being jumped on.

Oh well another one bites the dust. Bob is a nice cob but he misbehaved badly for his owner. Went into the school, napped, resisted, threw in a buck. Wouldn't concentrate or listen at all. I suggested she hacked him out and see if he improved but he was looking everywhere, being bolshy.

Shame, he was nice in the stable but clearly not on his best form today. Didn't ride him naturally as I felt if we pressed him further, she was going to come off as he was being right arsy. Other folks at the yard commented on what a lovely horse he usually is. I think they know they are up for moving. Or he was just annoyed to be dragged out the field, where he was just mooching around, being saddled and asked to do some work. I have been right royally spoilt by Buddy, he has always been Mr Reliable. Never refused to go or played up just a nice easy going boy who always did his best.
And he is back on the market again today. Wonder if he is in a better frame of mind.

I think that to some extent we create the horses we ride. So they behave for us in a similar way. In old age confusion I sometimes address Ella by the name of my old share who was a very similar horse.

He is the last in a series of nice old geldings I have ridden starting with Ben and Humphrey, both bays. Ben had a huge sense of humour and Humphrey was a gentle giant and very sweet though you had to be careful where you cantered him......Buddy has bits of both of them.
