Homemade Mane and Tail conditioner?

Does anybody make their own mane and tail conditioner?

If so how do you make it and what quantities of each ingredient do you use?

Cheap shampoo and conditioner from the supermarket and then spray baby oil into the tail to keep it smooth and tangle free (not the mane though, it would get to slippy to plait)

The yard we have our pony at use spray furniture polish to give the tail an extra silky feel, it really works. Not sure if works as a conditioner though, perhaps as well as.

Pig oil used sparingly. I put it in a spray bottle, leaves manes, tails and feathers silky soft.

Homemade mane and tail conditioner

Mix 1 part cheap human conditioner to 10 parts water.

This will help keep your horses tail soft and shiny. Also you can add distilled vinegar to help with flys or some baby oil to help keep the tail tangle free.

1 litre bottle - fill 1/4 coconut conditioner 1/8 baby oil - top up with water and shake. (measurements are ish!)
