I've had lots of conflicting advice about how quickly to progress with a fitness programme with my horse who has recently recovered from a hind suspensory ligament strain (he's been off work 3 months but had 9 hours a day turnout for the last month).
I have limited time; 45 minutes a day during the week and 1.5 hours a day during the weekends.
I would like to get him fit enough to school for 45 minutes twice a week and do a dressage test or showing class once a month as well as hacking.
I've currently completed a week of walking for 45 minutes a day on the flat.
Suggestions on an appropriate fittening regime would be much appreciated.
