I'm hoping some of our green fingered NR's might be able to help with this, it's a new one to my field
Some of the plants are pushing 6ft tall, the leaves are about 6" x 3" and smooth, other than a row of spines down the central vein on the underside and tiny ones on the edges. The leaves are opposing (rather than paired).
I think I have rules out teasel as the google pictures all seem to show more wrinkly and a longer more tapered/pointy leaf. Its def not fat hen, much bigger than that. Wild or prickly lettuce are still in the lead but I'm not sure?
