Had I known you were visiting I would have cleaned my nails :-)

Aw beautiful. We currently have a windowsill full in our bedroom, they are resting for the winter but every sunny day we get they spread their wings in delight. Then they seem to settle back down again!
 
Beautiful and detailed piccy, it is a long time since I have seen one at this time of year. By the way your hands and nails are pristine compared to mine.:redcarded:
 
I am surprised by the detail of the photo, its only off a mobile.

I thought they only lived for a month or so.
 
I didn't realise they hibernated as such but according to my mother (she really does butterflies and moths) they do go to sleep. I think they chose my windowsill in the bedroom because they don't get disturbed - not sure what that says about my cleaning skills... Hehehe
 
We have cats so they probably thought it was dead, its dozey as it was using me to stroll over.
