Anyone ever had a pair? I am looking for a decent short riding boot, but mainly for walking in rather than riding.
I usually wear wellies to walk to the yard, do my jobs in etc, then change into long riding boots for riding.
Now the land is drying up, I am looking for a decent short boot that I can walk the dogs in, do my jobs and go for the occasional ride in (with chaps).
I don't want to spend too much, but they must be sturdy with a good sole. I have seen the Grubs, which I like the look of, in second place are the Elico Hampton.

Would really love a new pair of Ariat, but at over £100 they are too expensive.

Ariats will last for ever. But truth is that boots safe to ride in are not first choice for walking. Have been up mountains and through snow in my Ariats in USA. But at home in muddy uk have walking boots proper.
