Giving up riding to concentrate on driving?

I'm having cold feet about giving up riding full time as I keep losing my confidence and don't enjoy it anymore.

I have longed for a Shetland or American Miniature to drive, I have loved shetlands and Mini since I was about 6yo after a visit to falabella stud.

30+ years on and I'm nearly there! But friends and family think i've gone mad.

I used to have a ride/drive Section D but always preferred driving and even did HDT'sn with him!

I want to show in hand and in harness and some fun drives through the summer and indoor driving trials in the winter.

If I really miss riding I have friends horses that I could ride....

So, why am I worried about making the change??????

i have almost given up riding now i prefer driving my shetland s and also my knees cant cope with the riding now. but do ride every so often

I much prefer driving now. I mainly ride when I want to go out but have nobody to drive out with me. at least I can ride alone!
