Hi. I have an Irish girly, who although is not at all heavy gets quite a lot of feathering, yet not enough to look good, so I need to get rid of it. In the past I have 'cut' them, but really with that much it is hard to do as goes all the way up to her knee, and always looks chopped, regardless of how many hours I may spend.

So, does anyone know of a good make of trimmer/clippers. I really have very little money, (50 max), will be for feathers only, so no full clipping (maybe her beard)....

Any ideas!?

Clip from the knee/hock downwards that way it doesnt leave as short a clip as the normal clipping against the hair...
A set of 'trimmers' may not be powerful enough depending on the coarseness and thickness of your horses' hair. but if you are going to try that type of 'clipper' then go to Argos and buy the human version as its about the cheapest you'll get and they have the same blades as 'horse' trimmers!!
