I've tried my vets and they don't have any scales for horses (primarily a small animal vets place anyway) and the horse vet in my area will charge me an extortionate amount for me to just have my horse weighed there as I'm not a customer of theirs. :stomp:

I've got little faith in the different readings that I'm getting off the weigh tape, so I just want him weighed, does anyone know of any weigh bridges used for Dept of Transport or similar that I could use in the south ?

:help:

Thanks Yann, after I posted that I remembered about public ones and found a weigh bridge close to home and they were able to point me in the right direction.

I used to do what you have said before (weigh transport with horse then without, deduct the difference and voila - horses weight) back in Australia on a public weigh bridge.

So have managed to find a public one 10 mins drive from the stables and they'll me drive straight on, tell me the weight and wont cost a penny- superb :D

Now I can find out just how much the boy weighs
