Is it normal for the frog to change regularly?

Last week, Lance's frog was so rock hard you could knock on it and get a sound ... Yesterday I noticed his frog was quite squishy and not as "pretty" as usual ... Is this just a normal cyclical thing depending on weather, etc?

I am becoming a bit of a frog anorak , or a frogorak !
Blue gets deep infected sulcus , so spend a lot of time scrubbing.
Blues get hard, and the sulcus shallower in dry weather, then softer with much deeper sulcus in wet.

Frogs should be rather hard & dry, wide & flat, in contact with the ground. If the weather & his paddock's suddenly got sloshy this will soften them, as with the rest of his hooves. If this is the case, it's a good idea to put down stones or otherwise ensure there's some hang out area in the paddock that's dry for them to spend a bit of time per day at least. Or it could be thrush that's caused his frogs to get squishy. This needs to be treated and kept on top of. If he's in a muddy environment it's even more important.
