Anyone know anything about these? http://www.scharffreedom.com

No way could I afford them (£300+) but I'm tempted to get a remortgage to pay for one!

Don't know if I'm blind or thick but I couldn't see what material they are - would have assumed leather at that price, but can't see it in writing. The sheepskin covers alone are £90!

"manufactured with non-deformable polymer fibers. This material works as an internal body without cuts or stitches to make it so strong that it is virtually impossible to break. The strong synthetic fiber (750 kg force resistance for the Dressage and Icelandic Horse models and 1500 kg force resistance for the Jumping, Eventing and Western models) runs from one end to the other covered by premium leather for optimum elegance and quality, joining and articulating each of its parts."

:)

Blimey! That sure is unique! I'm a bit gobsmacked, tbh. What a contraption!

I knew I'd seen these before, it was a link from my saddler and if anyone's interested I think it's easier reading than the article you posted @Bodshi https://www.kmeliteproducts.co.uk/i...nO0pwOKJjCkE-9HZbbKxFa7FK9Z4-3DOqn2AExxz8JSjE . Apparently the synthetic parts that are covered in leather are the same material that's used for parachute cords, so strength and durability are well proven.

I think they look interesting and Id be interested to know how much of a difference they make jumping or on a big moving horse, but having last year bought a Fairfax girth I'm not shelling out for another expensive girth just because I'm curious!
