cost them too much to do it for the mega few houses up our road
We are also in the sticks but got our super fast broadband through a local collective. We all dug our own trenches for the fibre and local landowners allowed access to their fields and gardens to get it along our road. It's £45 a month and blisteringly quick.

On another note, I've just spent the morning helping my friend Uta who was having her very elderly companion pony PTS today. I have run up and down our field about 20 times opening and closing gates for the knacker's trailer and moving horses around (access to our fields for a trailer is very difficult). Little pony was as good as gold, calm, happy and peaceful. Poor Uta is a wreck. My husband brought her some coffee and if I can find the time I'll go out for a little ride with her this afternoon.

That’s so hard, it’s nice she had the support from you and hubby though, I’m sure she really appreciated that.

It was a dream morning for a ride. We left the yard in mist but as OH predicted, we returned in sunshine. I havent hacked for the last three weeks so to play safe, I asked to be escorted. This was not sensible as YM was ahead of me on a new horse who unexpectedly took umbrage at anything he could. When we stopped for some dogs, with famiies on half term he jumped about a bit, provoking Ella who almost set off in fright but I managed to circle her and stop her by allowing her to eat. I got rebuked for tipping forward but at least I ddnt fall. After that I rode first for most of the way and including canter. The stupid mare spooked in canter, YM said there was a log by the path, But I didnt notice and I forced her to stay in canter. I was pretty happy about that as I do a lot of cantering there out on my own and have always thought that if she ever spooked in canter, I would fall off. It seems not.

Jane will be glad to know that we then did some Riding Teacher's trot so as to get back in time.

What's in it. I can't quite see on my screen.
I want to say knife for cooking or a pen.
It's a beautiful hand crafted / forged Damascus steel knife. Mr Trews saw them a while ago when I showed him the site and I've been saving up for one for him. They really are super pieces of both artwork and practicality. It's going to get a lot of use I hope.:)

It really is a work of art. It will get a lot of use though!
It looks gorgeous, he makes the boxes himself too, I have a couple of his knives and I love them, super sharp and so beautiful to look at, I’m so glad Mr T loves it. Although I did have to ask him to make me a video of how to sharpen them properly 🙄 I’m getting quite good at it now.

Not sure on life expectancy of poles but at our old house the woodpeckers drummed on them so much they had to be replaced quite a lot. Having said that, I saw the dates on the metal plating on some and they were from the 70’s!
Apparently it’s about 40 to 70 years but can be longer according to Dr Google.

Well vets been out to do Belles jabs and teeth, as usual I got the ‘how old did you say she is? She looks amazing for her age!’ She is 26 on Saturday and has teeth of much younger horse I’m told. Anyhow she didn’t need anything doing at all, I asked the vet if that was a function of her age and apparently horse teeth stop erupting at about age 18, well, you learn something everyday.

That's fab she has such good teeth! Very envious, as she's same age (ish) as Storm - and hers are awful poor lass.

Ah i had such a lovely day. My friends daughter has just started her first job as a paramedic. She has moved herself and her horse to Aberdeen. So we went up with the 4 dogs, collected daughter and horse and went to the beach. She has just started towing (rather than friend doing it) so it was also a practise run for her in trailer). I didn’t think I remembered my way round Aberdeen, I spent 4 years at uni there. Well she lives so close to where I did and it all clicked back i to place. Very strange feeling being back.

The beach was lovely. Her horse is Robin in chestnut with the same spooky dramatics. It was his 3rd trip to the beach and was so much braver. Riding on the beach terrifies me. Minto did his tendons at st Andrew’s and also got loose and had a great time galloping up the 1st fairway and across the 18th green of the old course, while a big competition was going on.

However. I WILL get brave and in the summer Robin and I will take a trip up and go with them. What can go wrong with 2 hysterical 16.2 warmbloods??

Such a lovely day. 4 tired dogs slept the whole way home 😂

Lovely beach pics. I would have loved to have done a beach ride with Chunky.

Looks like it was a water day today for NR members with Doodle92 at the beach and Carthorse in the river. Finally we got some rain here.

My excitement was smacking my forehead on the corner of a cupboard in someones house whilst at work. Did a good job of it too. Looked in the mirror and could see a dent where the point went in. It might have been a small impact area but the depth of the inprint was quite shocking. Managed to bite down heavy on my tongue with the impact. Came over rather dizzy so had to sit down. Then the blood started coming out. No external bruise yet but definitely bruised under the skin. Get light headed too if i bend forward to far. Its not the first time ive hit my head on that darn cupboard, its just at the wrong height for me when im working and have my head down watching what im doing i forget that the cupboards there and sticks out.

So fed up. Life would be so much easier if there wasn’t people in it!
Sorry you are struggling @Doodle92. You just have to take things little by little.
We all feel like this at times.
If its any consolation I had a bad weekend, Friday and Monday calminated in a two massive arguements with family members.
Im struggling to find a way forward with my issues currently.
